FOR AS YOU LOVED ME, SO SHOULD I LOVE

For I am sinful and always prone to sin except for your grace,
I love you Lord
For you became man to forgive my sins and reconcile me to God,
I adore you Lord
For the judgment you accepted in silent humility for my sins,
I love you Lord
For the cross you bore for my sins,
I adore you Lord
For the women you comforted as they wept for your pain,
I love you Lord
For the anguish of meeting your mother bruised and humiliated,
I adore you Lord
For the times you fell on your wounds,
I love you Lord
For the clothes ripped off your body, riding me of earthly attachments,
I adore you Lord
For the nails piercing through your bones,
I love you Lord
For dying on the cross for my sins,
I adore you lord
For emptying your body of water and blood to wash away my sins,
I love you Lord
For rising from the dead and opening the gates of heaven for me,
I adore you Lord
For through your passion and death you have redeemed me,
I love you Lord
For by your example, I learn daily to forgive and love all that hurt me,
I adore you, Lord
For as you loved me, so I should try to love my friends and foes,
For as I love them, I show that I love you Lord.
